What is light painting?
This post is going to be dedicated specifically to light painting. So what is light painting? Baiscally it is what it sounds like. It is painting with the light on the picture that you are taking. The technique is pretty simple, you open your shutter wide open for about 15-30 seconds in a completely dark room or outside when it gets really dark and there’s no light polution around you, keep your ISO to 100 and F-stop to the minumum. Then you just light with the flash light parts of the picture that you want to appear bright. It creates unusual light effects and gives awesome shadows. When you want to focus on your object, just flash the light on it, focus, and then turn it off. You check out my light painting examples below. I had a lot of fun with them. Hope that it was useful to you guys! Enjoy my light painting.
